Jason Scheer Jason has recently been appointed to the newly created position of Director of Strategic Initiatives. Jason is completing his 16th year at Wesleyan. During his tenure, Jason has taught high school and middle school science, middle school Bible, served as a middle and high school grade chair, and the middle school Dean of Students. Most recently, Jason has served as the Dean of Diversity and the Assistant Director of Admissions. While Jason will continue to serve as the Assistant Director of Admissions, no organization can have too many leaders who think strategically. With the challenges we will face in the years ahead, Wesleyan needs the skills Jason possesses. Jason has a demonstrated history of problem solving, analytical thinking, and statistical analysis that have proven to be invaluable to me and to the school. Jason will play a vital role in the upcoming five-year accreditation cycle we are about to enter, as well as supporting the subsequent Board of Trustees strategic planning process. Jason will also be actively involved in a number of issues that all schools are facing in the ever-increasingly complex world of independent school education. Jason, who has an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master’s degree in Science Education from Georgia State University, just graduated last week from the University of Georgia with a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Policy.
