Wesleyan partners with Ben Hanna '03 to donate supplies to Asheville
Over the weekend, Wesleyan’s Christian life department partnered with Ben Hanna ‘03 to offer relief to those affected by Hurricane Helene in Asheville, North Carolina.
Wesleyan families were invited to donate supplies, and on Saturday Oct. 12, the Wesleyan community loaded up the Wesleyan band box truck with all the supplies. Davis Brown ‘10, assistant director of Christian life: worship & discipleship, and seniors Jack Johnson and Emory Cavin delivered the supplies to Hanna and other volunteers in Asheville.
Donations included:
- 14 portable propane showers.
- 30+ bucket toilets.
- 15+ canopy tents for private showers.
- 31 propane tanks.
- And much more!
“They were in awe! The items were a game-changer,” smiles Brown.
The donated supplies helped Hanna and other volunteers set up more than a dozen shower stations across Asheville.
Thank you to all faculty, students, parents, and friends who donated and prayed for our friends in Asheville. Please join us in continuing to keep all of those affected in your prayers as we ask God to pour out comfort, care, and His presence on the community.
