Middle and high school chorus students perform at the Fall Concert

Middle and high school chorus students performed at the Fall Concert on Monday, Oct. 7. 

Fifth and sixth grade chorus students performed “Amen, Alleluia” by Michael Ryan, “The Journey” from Symphony in E minor by Antonin Dvorak, and The Shaker Hymn’s Simple Gifts (arranged by Joseph M. Martin). They closed their performance with “Music is Always There” by Teresa Jennings. 

The advanced chorus, made up of seventh and eighth grade students, performed “Tunakuja Na Wimbo” by Victor C. Johnson, “Where the North Wind Blows,” a traditional Irish melody (arranged by Cristi Cary Miller), and “Connected” by Brian Tate.  

The Chamber Singers, made up of high school students, performed “She Sings” by Amy F. Bernon, “Soran Bushi” arranged by Wendy B. Stuart, “Shenandoah” arranged by Paul Basler, and “Crowded Table” by Hemby, McKenna, and Carlile. Fiona Callahan ‘26 performed a solo during “Crowded Table.” 

The advanced chorus and Chamber Singers closed the concert with “Shine a Little Light” by Andy Beck featuring soloists Shannon Reding ‘29, Kate Hogan ‘29, Nia Pandaya ‘29, and Elizabeth Martinez ‘29.
