Marching Wolves excel at Eagle's Nest Invitational
- High School
- Middle School
On Saturday, Oct. 19 the Wesleyan Marching Wolves excelled at the Eagle’s Nest Invitational at Collins Hill High School. The Marching Wolves earned third place, and the color guard earned second place in the competition.
“These students work hard and are gaining skills that will serve them for lifetime. They deserve the highest level of commendation,” smiles Jeff Foster, director of bands.
With 23 woodwinds and brass instrumentalists and 13 percussionists, band members overcame obstacles including being the smallest band in the competition and the only band with middle school students.
“This band truly is a David competing against Goliaths! In our last five competitions over three years, not a single judge has questioned why a 50-member band would compete in the largest classification,” beams Foster. “That proves that we belong with the best bands in Georgia.”
Way to go, Marching Wolves!
