Wesleyan senior Alex Edgar receives Character Award from Southwest Gwinnet Chamber of Commerce

The Southwest Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce recently recognized Alex Edgar ‘23 with the Chamber’s Character Award. The award seeks to honor “an outstanding student whose attitude and actions embody the chamber's mission, passion, and commitment to excellence and community action.”
Nominated by members of the high school administration, Edgar’s commitment to serving, both within the Wesleyan community and throughout the surrounding area, were noted by her teachers in the nomination process.

“Alex exemplifies the phrase ‘servant leader’,” noted Joe Koch, high school principal. “She takes initiative to better her community with words and actions. Alex serves children and seniors throughout our area as part of our Omicron Service team and was chosen as a leader in that program in large part because of her kindness and character. We are so pleased that Alex received this well-deserved honor recognizing her heart for others.”

Congratulations, Alex!
