Diversity

Diverse and unified

Wesleyan School seeks to cultivate a diverse and unified community in which every individual is known, loved, and valued as a uniquely created image-bearer of God. Our ultimate aim is to glorify God by displaying His love for the world, magnifying the power of the cross, and reflecting the body of Christ.

Wesleyan's vision for diversity is...

  • founded in biblical truth.

  • guided by kingdom values.

  • empowered by gospel hope.

G.R.A.C.E. Model

The acronym G.R.A.C.E. guides our view of diversity at Wesleyan. G.R.A.CE. reminds us of the beautifully unique ways that God has made us and encourages us to extend grace to and expect grace from those who may look, think, or live differently from us.

Why should a Christian school pursue diversity and unity?

Wesleyan School pursues diversity and unity because diverse and unified communities...

  • ... display Christ's love for the world.
  • ... glorify God by loving His people.
  • ... magnify the redemptive power of the cross.
  • ... reflect the kingdom of God and the body of Christ.

"For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ."

1 Corinthians 12:12
