Counseling

We believe students learn best when they also have emotional, social, and spiritual support in place.

Our six-person counseling team works proactively and reactively to ensure an optimal learning environment. With compassion and wisdom, the counseling department leads students, parents, and staff towards the flourishing God has designed for each of us. The counseling team focuses on four types of services:

  • Classroom learning
  • Individual counseling by request or recommendation
  • Responsive services
  • Support system

Academic Accommodations

The counseling team facilitates psycho-educational testing and approves all physical, instructional, or behavioral accommodations that Wesleyan offers. Students with documented learning differences may benefit from additional academic support.

Parent Guidance

The counseling team offers topical parent education courses throughout the year. Not only do these courses equip parents with strategies for their child's unique phase of development, the courses also create space for personal reflection and fellowship. Topics may include talking about technology, navigating academic or personal transitions, minimizing generational anxiety, and more.
