Advanced Math (6)

6th grade advanced math is a continuation and expansion of the concepts that were introduced in 5th grade. Students will take a deeper look at geometry, pre-algebra, statistics, problem solving, and computational skills involving order of operations, fractions, decimals, and percentages. Opportunities are provided to complete relevant chapter projects, hands-on labs, activities involving technology, and interdisciplinary investigations to enhance the classroom experience. As an advanced class, students are expected to apply concepts in depth throughout the course and increase critical thinking skills.

Departmental recommendation required to take 6th grade advanced math. Placement into 7th grade math courses is through departmental recommendation.
