Advanced Band (7-8)

Advanced Band is a year-long course comprised of skilled 7th and 8th grade students who have had at least one year of experience on their instrument. There is no audition for this course, and students who played band in 6th grade are welcome to join. Students who have not previously played a band instrument but have additional musical experience such as piano, guitar, and strings are encouraged to contact Dr. Colegrove about joining band. This course is exciting and engaging, encouraging students to create, mentor, and collaborate as they develop their skills. There are two evening concerts each year, a band competition at Six Flags or Disney, and many fun band activities throughout the year. Please note that this course does not conflict with after-school activities.
