3D Design Studio

  • High School (9th-12th)

This semester course is designed to enhance understanding of three-dimensional form and aesthetics. Various materials will be explored to expand student knowledge of constructing three-dimensional objects. Wood, plaster, paper, wire, metal, ceramics, and miscellaneous materials will be combined with design techniques familiar to art, architecture, and engineering. Throughout the course, famous sculptures, buildings, and memorials will serve as inspiration for conceptual thinking and historical understanding.

Prerequisite: any foundations course or departmental permission
