Summer Programs

UVA Cornerstone Summer Institue
This week-long summer camp allows high school students to learn about slavery and its legacies by exploring the university, Charlottesville, and area landmarks. The camp provides rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors with the opportunity to engage in historical investigation, archaeological excavation, and community engagement in order to learn and develop thinking skills that will prepare them for success in college and beyond. University of Miami's Summer Scholars
How many students get the chance to produce their own film, learn how to code in python, tour media hubs in Miami, all while earning six college credits? The University of Miami's Summer Scholars program gives high school sophomores and juniors the opportunity to explore their passion and consider their career opportunities while experiencing college in an authentic environment. The program runs from July 6 - 26, 2019, and students must apply March 1 for scholarship consideration.

Virginia Tech Black College Institute
This five-day academic summer enrichment program inviting talented, high-achieving, and intellectually curious rising high school juniors and seniors from Virginia and abroad. Two dates are offered for seniors, and one will be offered for juniors. Learn more here.

University of Georgia Vet Camp

Calling all future veterinarians! This seven-day-long, on-site summer program will provide opportunities to observe and participate in services in UGA’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Research Center, and Diagnostic Laboratories the week of June 16, 2019. Rising juniors and seniors are eligible to apply. Application packets must be received by Friday, January 25, 2019. Learn more and apply here.

Reynolds Young Writers Workshop
This eight-day residential summer program brings the caliber of a professional writing conference to high school sophomores and juniors (rising juniors and seniors) who love to write. Forty-eight students will ultimately be selected for the program, which is held at Denison University in Ohio. This year's program dates are June 16-23, 2019 and the application will be open from January 7th to March 3rd. Visit for more information.

Samford Bulldog Pharmacy Camp
Learn about careers in pharmacy and pre-pharmacy courses that can best prepare you for pharmacy school. Participate in hands-on lab demonstrations and unique service projects. Attendees will gain essential patient assessment skills, tour local healthcare facilities and experience Samford campus life during this week-long camp June 23-28, 2019. Summer Springboard at UC Berkeley and/or Yale

Designed to help students discover their unique passions and path, these summer programs at UC Berkeley and Yale offer a safe and structured schedule that prepares students to move forward on the right path for their college experience. Academic immersion programs include Civic Service & Leadership, Start-up Law, Business & Entrepreneurship, Medicine & Healthcare, Engineering & Innovation, Computer Science, Creative Writing, and Digital Journalism. Cornell University Summer College
Choose from more than 30 two-, three-, or six-week programs, more than 50 Cornell courses, or a non-credit Robotics program. All programs are offered between June 22- August 6 and students will earn three-to-six college credits and an official Cornell transcript. Unique program offerings include Architecture, Art, Design and Fashion; Business and Hospitality, Debate, Literature and Songwriting; Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science. Davidson July Experience
July Experience is a powerful three-week academic immersion experience for rising high school juniors and seniors on the campus of Davidson College. Students take two courses from Davidson faculty and have the opportunity to participate in workshops with the admission staff. Opportunities are available to explore the town, spend time at the lake campus, and visit Charlotte throughout the program. Need-based financial aid is available. Columbia University’s Summer Programs
This three-week summer immersion program gives high school students a taste of life at an Ivy League institution, a vibrant New York City experience, and the chance to meet students from all over the world. They can choose from over 40 curricular options, ranging from business and sciences to creative writing and psychology. For select students, the College Edge Programs allow advanced students to take college courses alongside Columbia University students. Learn more.

Summer Academy at St. John’s
Organized in five, week-long sessions, each with a different theme, St. John’s College Summer Academy immerses intellectual high school students in the college experience at either the Annapolis or Santa Fe campuses. Students explore books by some of the world’s greatest thinkers and talk about their ideas in discussion-based classes led by St. John’s full-time faculty. Class offerings for 2018 include “Courage and the Soul,” “Contemplation and Love,” “The Blues,” “Equality and Inequality,” and “Poets and Perception.” For more information, click here.

United States Naval Academy Summer STEM Program
This program is designed to encourage rising 9th-11th graders to pursue a course of study in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Attendees will gain exposure to USNA’s “Top 5” Engineering program and work in world-class lab facilities. Applications open January 3, 2019 at

United States Naval Academy Summer Seminar
For rising high school seniors interested in pursuing an appointment to the United States Naval Academy, this is your opportunity to experience life at the Academy, with first-class academic, athletic, and professional training. Northeastern Accelerate Pre-College Programs
These two week programs feature exceptional faculty delivering courses that combine innovative content, experiential learning, and a world-class environment for a true Northeastern experience. Hillsdale Summer Study and Travel Programs
Rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors have the opportunity to earn three college credits from Hillsdale College while traveling to cultural and historic destinations domestic and abroad. Overseas options include England, France, or Italy. Students can also opt to learn more about the history of the United States with travel to Gettysburg, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. More info here.
