Joseph Koch
High School Principal
Joseph Koch arrived at Wesleyan in 2013, serving as a member of the high school social sciences department, serving as the assistant dean of student life, and working as an assistant coach with the varsity football program and the middle school swim team. Before moving into his current role as high school principal, Koch also served as the high school dean of student life while spearheading the effort to bring the AP Capstone program to Wesleyan, ultimately being named that program’s department chair. Koch earned his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and his master’s degree from Wagner College. Following a stint on the football staff at Lehigh University, Joseph worked as a teacher, coach, and administrator at the Westminster Schools and Savannah Country Day School. Koch and his wife Elissa are the proud parents of Lawson ’25, Wiley ’26, Jocelyn ’29, and Finn.
