  • Do Something Beautiful for God

    February 13, 2017

During Chapel last Thursday, Wesleyan faculty member, Marc Khedouri, introduced an exciting project to the high school community. Marc's hope is that the project will teach our students some important lessons: lessons about giving, sacrificial giving, and stewardship. It is also his hope that it will be a tangible reminder of God’s grace; the spiritual applications are plentiful. Marc gave each and every high school student and faculty member an envelope on which was written “Do Something Beautiful for God.” Each envelope contained $100. The students and faculty were then given the “assignment” to do something special, something extraordinary for God for someone in need with the money. It is Marc's belief that God is going to use this for good in some very meaningful and special ways. The potential impact of an entire high school community engaging in this project simultaneously could be far reaching. "I think this speaks volumes about who we are as a school, and what we truly value. We want so much for our students to learn the joy of giving and serving others. We want them to know that special feeling that can come only through meaningful giving." To read more about the project, click here. To watch a recording of the Chapel service, click here.
