WOLF TRACKER MEMBERSHIP FORM 2008-2009

Dear Prospective Wolf Tracker,

Did you know that approximately 80% of our 7th – 12th grade students participate in Wesleyan School athletic teams?  Or that we have teams competing in 15 different sports?  As parents, we can participate in Wesleyan Athletics as well, by joining Wolf Trackers, the official parent organization for Wesleyan athletics.   .

Wolf Trackers supports Wesleyan athletics in many ways. During the 2007/2008 school year, Wolf Trackers contributed $75,000 to augment the athletic department’s operating budget.  In addition, Wolf Trackers provided funding for specific equipment purchases such as a new scoreboard for the lacrosse teams; an additional shooting aid for the basketball teams; and continued funding for the new sound systems for the football and softball stadiums.

Wolf Trackers goals for the 2008/2009 academic year include enhancing community spirit /involvement, and increasing financial support. We are working with DeWayne Cupples (Athletic Director) and Jan Azar (Assistant Athletic Director) to develop a prioritized equipment “wish list”. In addition, the Wolf Tracker Board approved increasing Wolf Trackers minimum financial contribution from $65,000 to $70,000 annually.

There are numerous ways you can help Wolf Trackers:

  • Join our organization! There are three different membership categories to suit your interest level.  Returning parents will note that the Gold Level membership level has increased; this reflects our higher financial commitment to Wesleyan
  • Participate in our parent/community events such as the Hit n’ Howl tennis tournament, Wolf Run, and the annual golf tournament
  • Volunteer your time organizing the parent/community events, serving in the concession stands or supporting our magazine sale fundraiser
  • Provide financial sponsorship for our parent/community events
  • Place a corporate or personal ad in the seasonal Wolf Tracker program

Even if your child does not participate in a team or individual sport, you should still plan to be part of the Wolf Tracker community as we cheer on our Wesleyan student athletes.  Athletics foster school spirit, community involvement and enhanced visibility for our wonderful school.  We look forward to your participation!

 Sincerely,
