Wesleyan Parents Club
The Wesleyan Parents Club is a Georgia nonprofit corporation. Every parent or guardian of a student attending Wesleyan School is a member. The purposes of the Parents Club are as follows:
1. To enhance communication among the parents, faculty and administration
2. To encourage and stimulate parental participation in the life of Wesleyan School
3. To create among the educators, administration and the Parents Club members a united effort to secure for all students the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education with a view toward attaining the goals of excellence established and prescribed by Wesleyan School
4. To raise all funds necessary and prudent to accomplish the goals set forth above
5. To promote educational and charitable activities
Succinctly, the purpose is for the parents to work together with the Board of Trustees, the administration, the faculty and each other to enrich our children's education experience.
The Executive Board of the Parents Club is comprised of the officers of the corporation. The officers are two Co-Presidents, two Vice-Presidents, two Co-Treasurers, a Recording Secretary, a Corresponding Secretary and the immediate past Co-Presidents (who serve as advisors). The Executive Board oversees the activities of all committees deemed necessary to fulfill the goals and purposes of the Parents Club.
There are over 20 committees planning, coordinating, and performing work each year. The day-to-day activities of all committees are under the supervision of the Committee Chairs who report to the Executive Board.
Every parent or guardian is automatically a member of the Wesleyan Parents Club. |
