Announcements for Thursday, March 11, 2010

To the Office:

General Announcements:

Clubs and Activities:

·         Unfortunately, the high-Q team did not advance to the finals in their match last night.  They lost to Centennial 740 to 505.  Nonetheless, it is remarkable that they made it to the “final four” in their very first year on the show.  With three returning starters, the future looks bright for the High-Q team.  Thank you for all the support and encouragement.  It is really appreciated.

Community Groups and Mission Trips:

·         This announcement is for anyone that will be leaving on their mission trip on Sunday.  Please remember that Sunday is daylight savings time.  This means that the clock will spring forward early on Sunday morning.  Do not be late for your flight!!!

·         Not going on a mission trip?  Want to know how to get involved without stepping foot on a plane?  Take time to post a prayer on the prayer wall outside of Austin Chapel.  Or write a letter of encouragement to someone going on a trip.  All letters will be due in the high school office by 3:00pm today.

·         Freshmen/senior girls:  remember we will have Bible study tomorrow in McKeever during lunch.  Please come and enjoy the lunch, the fellowship and the talk.  Look forward to seeing all of you there.

Service News:

·         If you are going to be in town over Spring Break, please consider coming out on Saturdays to the Wesleyan tennis courts from 3:00 – 4:30pm to help with Special Pops Special Olympics! We can use all the volunteers we can get! Please sign-up on the Serve-His League bulletin board if you are interested in helping out.

·         Check out the Serve-His League bulletin board and other posters around campus to learn more about the Lymphomathon Walk Wesleyan School is hosting on Saturday, April 24. We need walkers, runners, face painters and other volunteers to help make this walk a huge success! Please see Mrs. Pack if you have any questions.
