The High School Choral Department offers performance opportunities to students. Each group performs separately and combine for presentations on Veterans’ Day and for Incarnation Celebration during the Advent season. The Mixed Ensemble is the entry group for most singers and welcomes even those who are inexperienced in the vocal arts. Bel Canto and Men’s A Cappella are select ensembles for female and male singers respectively, performing a wide variety of music. Chamber Singers is an auditioned mixed ensemble consisting of more advanced singers and musicians at Wesleyan who represent the Chorale at community functions as well as special school events. All students who enroll in a vocal music course will develop a basic understanding of musical concepts, as well as develop skills in proper vocal production, reading music at sight, ensemble singing, and stage presence/performance.. Students are required to attend extra rehearsals and performances outside the regular class experience. The Wesleyan Chorale also participates in the Georgia Music Educators Association events such as Choral Festival and All-State Chorus.
Fall 2012 Concert
The goals in middle school chorus are to develop the unique (sometimes changing) voice while making music to praise God. Other goals of the program are to develop musicianship through singing, sight-reading, theory practice, and listening to, analyzing and critiquing music. The choruses perform both on and off campus throughout the year.

Music is a vital part of the Lower School curriculum. Children are encouraged to discover their talents through developing listening and singing skills, experiencing creative movement, and playing on pitched and un-pitched percussion instruments. Third and fourth grade students expand their music reading skills by learning to play the recorder. Opportunities are available in two performance groups that meet before or after school hours: 3rd and 4th Grade Tone Chime Choir and Wesleyan Boy Choristers and Girl Choristers for students in grades 2, 3 and 4.
