Jessie Dutcher will be a Fellow in the lower school working in the fourth grade with April Waters. She will also assist with middle school cheerleading, varsity swimming, and varsity girls’ lacrosse. From Atlanta, Jessie attended The Westminster Schools and will graduate in May from Furman University with a degree in elementary education. She is a Young Life leader and assistant lacrosse coach at Riverside High School in Greenville, South Carolina, and has served as a counselor at Kanakuk Kamps in Colorado.

Annalise Peters will be a Fellow in the English department and will work in 7th grade with Joanna Schuerman. A graduate of Greater Atlanta Christian School, Annalise will earn a degree in public and international affairs from the University of Georgia in May. She has served for four years on the executive board of Dawg Camp, a program for incoming UGA freshmen, and has been a member of the UGA track and field team for three years. Annalise will assist in coaching varsity girls’ cross country, varsity swimming, and high school track.

Lynn Roney will join the high school faculty as a Fellow working with Philip Hart in Spanish. She will assist with varsity girls’ cross country, middle school girls’ basketball, and middle school track. Lynn graduated from Parkview High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Berry College; she majored in international studies and minored in Spanish. While at Berry, Lynn was a four-year scholarship athlete, devoted numerous hours to community service and outreach projects in Rome, Georgia, and participated in both international and domestic mission trips. Currently, she is teaching English to students in grades six through twelve in the province of Extremadura, Spain.

Eric Lang will be a Fellow in the English department and will work in the high school with Tim Blue. He will be helping with varsity boys’ cross country and will also assist with Fine Arts extra-curricular programs. Eric graduated from E. C. Glass High School in Lynchburg, Virginia, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Harvard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This summer, he will travel to Uganda to lead a creative writing therapy course for Ugandan trauma victims. Eric currently serves as the assistant youth leader at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg.

Patrick Lawson will be a Fellow in the math department and will work in 8th grade with Cherie Schofield. He is a graduate of Hampton Roads Academy in Newport News, Virginia. Patrick graduated from the University of Georgia in 2009 with a degree in business administration. He has worked with Lifeway Ministries as a summer camp counselor for 7th and 8th graders. At Wesleyan, Patrick will assist with 8th grade football, middle school boys’ basketball, and JV boys’ lacrosse.

Carlton Walker will be a Fellow in the history department and will work in the middle school with Candler Baxley. Carlton attended The Columbus Academy in Gahanna, Ohio, and will graduate in May from Colgate University with a degree in sociology and anthropology. While at Colgate, he has been active in a Bible study with a group of athletes and also helped to establish Uplifting Athletes, an organization dedicated to raising money and bringing awareness to rare diseases. At Wesleyan, Carlton will assist in coaching 8th grade football, middle school boys’ basketball, and JV baseball. |
