Complete the Campus Campaign

Wesleyan embarked on the Complete the Campus Campaign in 2003 to build two buildings, renovate a third building, and make significant improvements to the school's endowment.  This building phase of the campaign had as its goal to build a new fine arts building and a performance gymnasium, as well as to build a new adminstrative building, Gillfillan Hall.  The endowment phase of the campaign will add over $7 million dollars to financial aid, and $3 million will be for general endowment.  Our ultimate desire is to make Wesleyan a school that can provide a Christian experience to children from diverse backgrounds without regard to financial need.  Construction on the Yancey Gymnasium and the Fine Arts Building began in June of 2005.  Yancey Gymnasium was completed in November 2006 and the fine arts building was completed in March 2007. Our last building,Gillfillan Hall was completed in August 2007. We are happy to report that the relocation of the Curley Tennis Courts has been completed and we now have two additional courts giving us a total of seven.  The 2007-2008 school year campaign achieved a record 99% of parent participation.

We rejoice in the building of a school that we want, more than anything else, to be His school.  The commitment of the parents and friends to this and other campaigns reflects the many miracles of faith in God's work and the knowledge that what is ours is His.  We also know that buildings alone are a small part of God's work.  It is the faith and dedication of teachers and parents to bring up children as God's children that is the true goal of our daily mission.

The Fine Arts Building and Yancey Gymnasium are located on the main campus, directly behind Marchman Gym and across from Cleghorn and Wesley halls.  Gillfillan Hall is adjacent to Marchman Gymnasium.
